A confused citizen filed a 311 complaint about a street-sweeper driver who refuses to keep going down Poplar Street past Hautevale Street in Roslindale:
Constituent reports she asked the street sweeper why they did not come down the whole street and he stated that it is Dedham but it is not.
Per Google Maps, that spot is, in fact, about 2 1/2 miles from Dedham.

Not only an appropriate complaint but a needlessly bizarre situation.
The 311 answer is also a classic

311 is saying the person who filed the complaint is a liar. "Case invalid"
We need some more reporting on this from the neighborhood.
And not just a bizarre

And not just a bizarre situation, but a cursory closure of the ticket.

Or it didn’t happen
yeah, it would be great if 311 was required to post a pic before

closing a ticket. i've had plenty of tickets closed as resolved even though I can clearly see the problem still there, right outside my window.

Finally a legit 311 complaint.

They do brush you off though, 3 years ago there was a fire in our neighborhood in the winter, all the water from the hoses caused a river of ice in front of our house, it must have been 2 inches thick, I requested some help from the city and they said its was salted after the last snowstorm and closed the ticket.
We had to call a private company to break up the ice.
