Police responded to an apartment building on Blue Hill Avenue near Wilcock Street yesterday afternoon, where a man was duct-taped and zip-tied by two men with a knife posing as workmen who then robbed his apartment.
Police responded around 1 p.m. - after the man spent roughly an hour to extricate himself and call for help.
Earlier this month, police reported a similar robbery involving two men with a gun posing as city workers - one in a yellow safety vest - on Adams Street in Dorchester.

I can't imagine thieves coming away with much from a random apartment in this neighborhood. Any ideas on the criminals' selection criteria?
