Shots fired, man arrested with gun loaded with 11 bullets in Dorchester, police say
Boston Police report officers responding to a report of shots fired at Norfolk Street and Milton Avenue Wednesday evening arrested a Roxbury man with a loaded gun who was walking in the area.
Police say that after the shots were reported around 7:30 p.m., officers spotted a man who started walking the other way when he spotted them. After catching up with Isaiah Bates, 26, officers found a gun loaded with 11 rounds in his right front pocket, police say.
Bates was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition and carrying a loaded firearm on a public way, police say.
