Cheryl-Anns' in South Brookline, closed since a 2021 fire, is kvelling this morning that it's gotten the final town permit it needs and it will re-open promptly at 7 a.m. on Friday - just in time for the shabbat rush.

Huzzah.
But the name... Cheryl-Ann's . I wonder if she had a sister named Mary Ann who owned a bar in Cleveland Circle and possibly another named Sue Ann, nymphette from Minneapolis (but was her last name Nivens)

Love to see a local bakery re-opening.
When my kids went to the pre-school at Temple-Emeth we would go to Cheryl-Ann's all the time.

I'm not Jewish, but I liked that their food is Pareve kosher, meaning no dairy, which means no worries for my lactose intolerant intestines.

I was getting worried that they wouldn't re-open after so long. Cheryl-Anns is an important part of the community - it's great to have them back!
