We hear Stone Hearth Pizza opened this week in Barry's Corner and despite predictions from the Allston Civic Association, has failed to turn the area into a steaming pile of rubble, and that even people who are not fans of Duff Beer have eaten there.

This new pizza joint is detracting from the historic character and ambiance emanating from the nearby Dunkin' Donuts and 7-11 stores. The new owners should have instead imitated the style of the surrounding architecture -- flattening the property and paving it all over with asphalt.

They have already closed the McDonalds and tore it down!! The KMart collapsed onto itself too...and half of the Shaw's went with it!!!
