City Realty, which used to specialize in small apartment buildings, says it will soon file plans for a 16-story, 262-unit residential building on Ashford Street, next to the West Station commuter rail station that state officials once pushed but which more recently have said they would put off until 2040 or so. Flipped truck

Bradley had plenty of time to observe a truck flipped on its side on the inbound turnpike near the Allston onramp shortly before 3 p.m. He noticed the driver appeared to have gotten out OK.

Man wanted for bank robbery: Hefty

The FBI's Violent Crimes Task Force reports it is looking for a man it says held up the Rockland Trust branch, 229 North Harvard St. at Franklin Street, on Tuesday morning. Read more.

City Councilor Liz Breadon (Allston/Brighton) reports that Boston College has agreed to hire a BPD detail to roam Brighton on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights to bust up any gatherings of hardy partying Eagles as part of its plan to keep the college and the surrounding neighborhood from turning into a Covid-19 hotspot. The Boston Licensing Board told beer-garden operators it's still trying to figure out new state regulations on food and liquor service in a time of pandemic - and warned Allston/Brighton liquor-license holders they better be on their best behavior, because the city's already getting too many complaints about them, even before college students deluge the neighborhood. The Boston Licensing Board has scheduled two emergency hearings on Thursday, one for operators of beer gardens and large outdoor dining places in the city and one for restaurant owners with liquor licenses in Allston/Brighton to "address the numerous complaints" the board and ISD have received over their operations in an age of Covid-19 and social distancing. The Boston Fire Department reports firefighters made quick work of a rooftop fire at 1027-1033 Commonwealth Ave. in Packards Corner shortly after 1:30 p.m.

Update: Paddle Boston reports that the employee who tested positive got a second test done, and this time the result came back as negative.

Paddle Boston announced its location on the Charles River in Allston is shut today "due to a positive covid 19 test for one of our staff at the site." Refunds or reservations for another day are available.
