Telegram.com reports the Republican Town Committee in Hudson has canceled an event next week where local y'all quedaists Mark Sahady and Sue Ianni were scheduled for some post-pardon adulation just because people who objected to their glorification were promising protests and vowing to close their accounts at the bank whose meeting room they were going to use.
Avidia Bank was criticized by large numbers of online commenters who questioned why the bank would allow its building to be used for an event featuring insurrectionists. Many social media posts talked of canceling accounts with the bank.
In a Facebook post, the Republican Town Committee said it was just plum disgusted that people dared to protest appearances by two people who organized bus rides down to DC to help overthrow the government.
These bullies have successfully canceled everyones 1st amendment rights.
Sahady, who before Jan. 6, helped organize a failed pro-Charlottesville rally on Boston Common and a similarly ineffective "straight rights" march down Tremont Street, was sentenced to five months in federal prison after a judge convicted him of Jan. 6 crimes following a bench trial that included testimony about him waltzing around the Capitol and yelling "Yeah! Fuck yeah! Fuck yeah! Patriots Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!"
Before he had to report to prison, though, Sahady was pardoned along with other democracy haters by the current occupant of the White House.

To want to hold a circlejerk in a bank community room and not like, I dunno, a dank basement somewhere.
In a normal universe, these people would either still be in jail, or be absolute pariahs for assaulting (in no particular order) democracy, the rule of law, common sense, and Capitol police. They can take their total misunderstanding of the first amendment and their mewling cries of Freeze Peach back to whatever sticky, shallow ditch they crawled out of. The only way to shut this crap down is to make it as uncomfortable as possible to support these people. You were worried about protests? Good. You should be.
Why scorn the bank?

They've made it possible to know where these foul degenerates are going to be, and at what time.
That's a feature, not a bug.
EDIT: That should have been an original comment, not a reply.

Is NOT freedom from the consequences of saying dumb shit.
They are free to speak.
So are the people who said they would take their business elsewhere, in free reply.
Bullies always cry "bully".
Seditionists can suck eggs.
Massachusetts Republicans

The Republican Party in Massachusetts needs to stop acting like they’re in Idaho, and remember that they succeed with candidates and ideas that Trumpies hate. Instead they have been giving us non-stop crazy like Geoff Diehl and Dean Tran. And now a salute to January 6 pardoned criminals. Even Howie Carr agrees with me, and I never thought that would be a sentence.
