Brookline, which handed out gobble-infused "I Voted!" stickers for the November elections, is turning to local school kids to come up with a different theme for stickers to hand out in the May 6 elections.
Town Clerk Ben Kaufman is running the new competition for all local K-8 schoolkids - including kids who are home schooled or go to school outside the town borders. Town and school officials will select finalists, and then the public will get to pick a winning design.

Considering public schools in Massachusetts have no requirements to teach civics; I feel Brookline involving all K-8 students in their town regardless of where they attend school, as long as they're residents of Brookline a good step in leading children to a better understanding of how government works.
