There's lazy and then there's Masshole lazy

I bet he put a space saver in the street this morning because he “earned it after spending an hour shoveling” the half inch of slush.

The rear defroster button? That's what it's there for.

but unfortunately since there are zero repercussions for doing this, assholes like these will continue to be plentiful

Back when I was a kid (during the late Jurassic), you could lock the nozzle open. Then it was banned. Now it's back.

My understanding is that cities and towns sometimes prohibit locking nozzles. Ironically, that time the nozzle fell out of my car and pumped a couple of gallons onto the ground before I jumped out and shut it off was at a full-service station, in a town that barred self-service.

The place I go to now has all the locks removed, except for the two pumps on one lane.

I swear, MA was the only place I've ever been that didn't have them.

If you have a bad shoulder or hand, it is an issue to sit there and hold the thing for no damn good reason.

Banning that little handle kickstand wasn't a rational thing - more a "I can imagine it might be a problem" thing than an actual problem.

The only danger of fueling up a running car is that you might drive away with the nozzle still in.

The ones on that Honda are smaller than on the typical Subaru.

that the kind of person who can't figure out where the "rear defrost" button is on their car, probably isn't particularly good at using their side rear-view mirrors.

Side mirrors are NOT meant to be used for rear views when there is a center mirror available. They're meant to be aimed at your blind spots. The center rear-view mirror is meant to be used as your, wait for it, rear view.

I would wager that less than 5% of the driving population has their side mirrors aimed correctly.

If the car had a pile of boxes taking up the entire back seat and blocking the rear view mirror, I would imagine that no one would say "boo" about it. On the other hand, the rear defrost should have taken care of what was on the back window in short order, so perhaps the person is just lazy.

Besides not being best able to see out while driving, the other safety point behind the requirement to clear snow/slush/ice off your car before driving is so pieces don't fly off when you're moving and be dangerous to someone else.

My theory is that Hondas are not exotic, expensive cars.
