Boston Police report arresting an employee at Seed, 401 Centre St. in Hyde Square, for the Glock with a bullet in the chamber and two magazines loaded with a total of 35 bullets they say he brought to work yesterday - two days after a dispensary in Roslindale was robbed at gunpoint. Read more.

Desiree Franjul's Herbal Power now goes to the state Cannabis Control Commission for the final approval it will need before it can open, with hours of 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

After voting in July to reject a proposed marijuana shop at the corner of Washington and Fairbanks streets in Brighton, the Zoning Board of Appeal today approved the proposal, subject to several conditions, including that the owner come back in a year for a review to see how the place is fitting into the neighborhood and to post a sign with a 24-hour number residents can call to complain about any noisy or otherwise annoying shop customers. The Supreme Judicial Court today ordered records related to a Dorchester man's arrest on marijuana-possession charges in 2003 and 2006 permanently deleted from court and criminal databases, under a state law that allows for "expungement" of such records for what are now legal activities. A military contractor and a landlord on a desolate industrial dead end sandwiched between the Expressway and the Red Line and commuter-rail tracks are suing the Zoning Board of Appeal for approving a dispensary on the street, arguing the shop will disrupt their deliveries and shipments and prove hazardous to anybody trying to walk there from the nearby JFK/UMass Red Line stop because the street has no sidewalks.
