Sadly, I believe someone else was stabbed around Queensbury & Park Drive (a few blocks away) at like 5am earlier this year. Boston PD better step-up patrols! Stabbings in this exploding neighborhood could kill the city's tax base (and the crazy amount of development!)

there has been a huge spillover of junkies and bad characters this summer, and there is a halfway house in the neighborhood as well as tons of section 8 housing. It is surprising that this doesn't happen more often as cops typically turn their head away from the bad characters doing illegal stuff out in the open such as drugs and sex.

Yeah, it is (I live a 10 minute walk from that Sunoco, closer to Longwood).
However, it's not a place I (as a small female) would really linger after dark. It's shabby, has some kind of weird smoke shop/bar thing, is right next to Machine (which is a cool place but some of the people hanging around outside are not), and the intersection coming from Copley down towards the Fens/Boylston is really poorly lit and not well populated (especially when the Sox are out of town).
Still it's a very odd thing, hope to hear more details.

I'm talking about the marked increase in violent crime outside of the areas where it traditionally occurs. Not that it's acceptable anywhere, but when people are getting stabbed in the "good parts" of the South End, and a block from Fenway Park when there are 30,000 concert-goers inside, maybe the powers-that-be will start paying attention.

Rest assured, bigots, the stabbings are not caused Section 8 housing, the pre-release home in the Fenway or Ikea furniture. More likely than from residents in recovery, stabbings and fights are related to the liquor store next to the Sunoco gas station on Boylston which sells to even the most mentally disturbed.
The Fenway violence IS related to our opiod and heroin problem. If you pay any attention, there is constant drug sale & use behind the Victory Gardens and in the phragmites (reeds) mixed with the male prostitution and cruising.
The lack of sufficient treatment programs in Boston and the closure of a large program for the homeless and recovering addicts on Long Island in the Boston Harbor can also be faulted, if you are looking to blame.
