My experience with multiple years of soccer coaching fuels my speculations. One of my teams had kids speaking 8 different languages at home.
Seen it - the desecrated black stripe flag types are also the thin-skinned might makes right types. Whoooda thunk? And, yes, this transcends race and ethnicity in many cases. Fascism is a global problem and its fans migrate here, too.

I walked out of my nephew’s youth hockey game after the coach excused the team’s most skilled yet most vicious player for attacking his very own son and then after the refs disqualified the player from future games during that meet, Bad Dad Coach then set a marvelous example by dressing the disqualified player in another player’s shirt and putting him back in the next day’s game.
Disqualified Vicious Player’s parents were applauding their son and coach and claiming his anger issues were secondary to winning the game.
Coach’s Son who happened to be a close friend of my nephew couldn’t play because his neck was injured in the attack and told us his father told him to stop being a baby about it.
Not a single parent on that team objected to Bad Coach’s cheating. My nephew and other teammates supported the son but said nothing because their parents were silent.
Unreal way to teach kids about sportsmanship.
Coach continued for many years. Son moved out of the house and seems to be a better person than his dad.
