
Mary Ellen spotted a bunch of birds at Millennium Park yesterday, including this l'il plumper, otherwise known as a palm warbler.
And there's this common grackle, looking like something you wouldn't want to meet in a dark alley, or, well, anywhere else:

I saw a palm warbler resting on a branch on Blue Hill Avenue next to my barbershop. I thought it was strange to see a yellow bird in Dorchester. Bluejays, Cardinals, Robins sure; But a Yellowbird?

My wife saw the first hummingbird of the year while sitting on the porch. Always good to see these little guys return.
