The Massachusetts Appeals Court ruled today that a woman locked up for more than a month after she was arrested at Logan Airport with two dozen bottles of shampoo and conditioner that were, in fact, shampoo and conditioner, won't get a dime from the state trooper who arrested her for cocaine trafficking because he followed the rules and legitimately thought at the time that she was a drug mule. Live Boston reports that around 9:20 p.m., Boston EMTs and public-health official rushed to Logan Airport to meet an incoming flight from China on which nine people were reporting flu-like and stomach-ailment symptoms. But at 9:45 p.m., Boston EMS reported that once on the ground, all the patients were asymptomatic and first responders were clearing the scene.

A Chinese graduate student who had been doing research at Beth Israel Hospital was arrested at Logan Airport on Dec. 9 after customs agents found 21 vials of an unknown brown liquid wrapped in plastic bag in a sock in one of his checked bags as he prepared to board a flight back to China, according to court documents unsealed yesterday.
