The Boston Fire Department reports a former pizza place at 205 Bowdoin St. in Dorchester caught fire early this morning. Firefighters responded around 3:45 a.m. The department reports injuries but did not provide details.
The Supreme Judicial Court ruled yesterday that a man convicted of fatally shooting Nicholas Fomby-Davis, 14, on Bowdoin Street - as his friend held the teen - got a fair trial and that police did nothing wrong in the way they questioned him, but that his sentence should be amended to allow for the possibility of parole because he was only 16 at the time. The Zoning Board of Appeal today approved a 32-unit apartment building and three townhouses along Bowdoin Street at Bowdoin Avenue in Dorchester. Read more.

A man was stabbed in the upper back around 9:15 p.m. at Bowdoin and Hamilton streets, then showed up not long after at the South Bay Stop & Shop, from which he was taken to a local emergency room. A car crash near the stabbing scene might be involved.
The Boston Fire Department reports two residents a house on Dever Street, at Bowdoin, were taken to the hospital with minor injuries today when their house caught on fire. Read more.
A man was stabbed in the leg during a robbery on Bowdoin Street near Adams Street around 10 a.m. and made his way to a local hospital, where he is expected to recover.
Mark Lundy, 24, had bail set at $25,000 yesterday on charges he killed Guy Beaubrun by hitting him with his car on Bowdoin Street near Geneva Avenue and that he then drove away around 1:30 a.m. on July 8, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports. Read more.

Thomas Frank Isaac Jr., 21, of Braintree was arraignnetd on a murder charge today for the death of Nelson Torres-Santa, 55, who was found dead and partially decomposed in his 330 Bowdon St. apartment on the afternoon of Nov. 13. Read more.
