NBC Boston reports Canton officials are blaming scores of bags of dog poop tossed down storm drains for blocking the sewage system and are pleading with residents to throw the bags out in the trash, not in storm drains.

The Norfolk County District Attorney's office is confirming that the remains found next to I-95 southbound in Canton yesterday are those of Joseph Brancato, 21, of Winthrop, who was last seen in November in Roslindale. Read more.

Prevailing sentiment in progressive haunts is “2016, don’t let the door hit you on the way out.” Between a stressful election season, acts of terror, and the crisis in Syria, many of us will be glad to see the calendar page turn on Sunday night. Tim Smith took a walk along the former 128 in the Blue Hills Reservation, left over from the days when 128 was cobbled together out of existing roads, before the current road was built a couple miles further out.
WBZ reports on an incident on I-95 yesterday morning. Neither the driver, nor his two young sons, in the back seat, were injured.
Tim the roving UHub photographer took a walk this morning on the only part of the Southwest Expressway that actually got built - a short stretch north of that weird, semi-cloverleaf where 95 joins 128 - from which it was supposed to head north through Hyde Park (with an interchange replacing Paul's Bridge), Roslindale, Jamaica Plain and Roxbury before joining with the Inner Belt roughly where the Ruggles T stop is now.
The MSPCA and the Animal Rescue League say they will speak for the deer facing death in the hills south of Boston, at a State House rally that starts at noon on Thursday. Read more.
