The John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum on Columbia Point shut its doors today and will remain closed "until further notice."  The Dorchester Reporter reports it's due to Musk-ordered firings. Tori Bedford at GBH reports five workers were told to leave.

The signboards along the Expressway say drivers should expect delays between 1 and 3 p.m. today as the president arrives in town for his "cancer moonshot" speech at the JFK Library.

Only thing is the speech is at 4 p.m. And then the officials White House schedule says he'll be staying in town for a Democratic National Committee reception at 6 p.m. We'll go out on a limb and assume that's not at the neighboring Bayside DoubleTree, so that probably means a motorcade somewhere downtown or in the Back Bay. And then he departs Boston at 7:10 p.m., which means still more traffic issues as he gets taken to Logan.

Peter Wilson at WFXT reports both workers have self quarantined and are showing no symptoms, but that just in case, the JFK Library and Museum is asking anybody who visited between March 2 and today to "please monitor your health for symptoms of coronavirus, including fever, cough, and shortness of breath."

Boston firefighters lift woman out of water at Columbia Point

The Boston Fire Department reports firefighters rescued a woman who had somehow wound up in the water off the JFK Library around 11 p.m. on Tuesday. She was semi-conscious when brought up to shore and handed over to EMS for transportation to a local hospital.
