A video that has widely circulated over the past day has been presented as evidence cops in Boston were getting ready to leave bricks around to tempt protesters to throw them.

In fact, Northeastern Police say today, it shows two Northeastern officers doing something far more innocuous. Read more.

Northeastern University President Joseph Aoun announced today that the school's dormitories and classrooms will be open for the fall semester - even if that means expanding the number of buildings the school owns or rents to house students in a more socially-distancing setting and starting up "large-scale deployment of testing and contact tracing." A psychology grad student at Northeastern says it's not his fault a global pandemic forced Northeastern University to shut its campus, so he wants the school to reimburse him the $23,400 he says he paid for tuition for the spring semester. Read more.

After telling students they could stay in their dorms for the rest of the semester - even if they were taking their classes remotely like everybody else - Northeastern told students today they have to vacate their dorms by 5 p.m. on Tuesday. Read more.

Northeastern University is telling students and staff returning to Boston from China, South Korea, Italy or Iran to "self-isolate" for 14 days to ensure they haven't been infected with Covid-19.

UPDATE: Removal stayed for 48 hours, although he remains in CBP custody; hearing in federal court tomorrow morning.

Mohammad Shahab Dehghani Hossein Abadi, who got a visa from the State Department a week ago so he could fly her to start as a freshman in an economics program at Northeastern, is now being held at Logan's Terminal E, where Customs and Border Patrol wants to put him on a flight back out of the country. WCVB reports a Northeastern student from Boston has been diagnosed with measles. The story provides a list of places where the student might have spread the virus to people not protected by vaccination.

Suffolk County District Attorney Rachael Rollins confirmed today that a West Roxbury woman killed her young children and then herself at the Renaissance parking garage near Ruggles station yesterday afternoon. Read more.

Scott Eisen reports the children, found at the bottom of the Renaissance garage off Columbus Avenue and Melnea Cass Boulevard, were taken to local hospitals, where they were declared dead. The woman was taken to a local hospital, where she was declared dead as well. Read more.

Northeastern University and American Campus Communities of Austin, TX this week filed plans with the BPDA for a 26-story building that would include 21 floors of dorm space atop five floors of academic and office space - and that would let the school sell off other dorm buildings to be turned into tax-generating rental apartments or condos. Northeastern University reports its entire campus has been officially designated an arboretum by ArbNet, which, of course, has a formal accreditation program for arboreta, which is a word we'll have to get used to now that Boston has at least two of them. Read more.

The Huntington News reports Northeastern University will soon file plans with the BPDA to build a 350,000-square-foot Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Complex on Columbus Avenue.

The building, the Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Complex II, will be just up the street from the Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Complex the university just recently finished building.
