WBZ reports the snor'easter washed zillions of clams up onto Revere Beach, providing an all-you-can-eat buffet for area gulls. The station cautions the clams are not good eatin' for people, though - they might be contaminated.

This goes back to the early to mid eighty's.
At the bottom of Revere Beach where rte 145 turns towards winthrop.
there is a rotary. At the time I believe it was under MDC territory.
In the center of that rotory was a rowboat filled with flowers.
can anyone find a photo of it? I have been unsucessful.

WCVB reports a fire on Thornton Street in Revere early this morning killed one person - and that a young girl had to jump to safety.

The Suffolk County District Attorney's office announced today it's seeking court orders to vacate some 108 drug convictions that involved evidence certified as illegal drugs by Annie Dookhan, a chemist at the state labs in Jamaica Plain convicted in 2013 of just making stuff up. Read more.

The BPDA board approved developer HYM's plans to transform the old Suffolk Downs race track over two decades into a new community on the East Boston/Revere line that will ultimately mean 10,000 apartments, condos and single-family homes and enough office, retail and hotel space to provide 25,000 new jobs. Boston Pedestrian shows us the absence of social distancing this afternoon on a shuttle bus brought in to ferry Blue Line riders between Wonderland and Orient Heights after signals came down with Covid-19 or something and stopped working.

State Police report a 20-year-old man was shot outside the Twist and Shake ice-cream shop, 82 Revere Beach Blvd., around 10:10 p.m. on Sunday. He was taken to Mass. General, where he was pronounced dead. State Police say it looks like the shooting came after an argument.

A federal judge ruled today that Revere's policy on car towing - to notify the car's owner but not any companies that might have financed it - is unconstitutional and so it owes Honda the full value of a car the city had towed then let a private tow company sell without first notifying the car maker's financing wing. Read more.

Swastikas on a car in Revere.

Revere Police today announced they've arrested Jason Pagliuca, 38, of Revere on charges he sprayed swastikas on the sides and hood of a Muslim resident's car on Lantern Road on June 11 - and then sprayed "White Power" on the road near the car. Read more.

Update: Arrest made.

Moroccan American Connections in Revere reports that early on June 11, Revere Police found a car with swastikas spray painted on the hood and both driver and passenger sides of the car, with what looked like an interrupted attempt to spray a fourth on the trunk. "White power" was spray painted on the street near the car.

State Police report a 17-year-old from East Boston was stabbed in a fight between two groups of youths at Eliot Circle at the southern end of Revere Beach around 7:45 p.m.

State Police say he was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital in critical condition.

The Chelsea Record reports, says Lynn and Somerville will soon start using the Revere Quality Inn that Chelsea and Revere rented out for Covid-19-positive residents who need a place to stay and who don't want to infect their families or neighbors.

Matt Frank watched crews today putting down traffic barrels up and down Revere Beach Boulevard to keep people from parking there, then stuck around for some people watching (at a proper social distance, with a zoom lens, of course).

WCVB reports that five residents of the Jack Satter House in Revere have died during a coronavirus outbreak. WBUR reports that eleven veterans at Soldiers' Home in Holyoke have died.

Just not enough social distancing going on, so the city "encouraged" Kelly's and other eateries along Revere Beach Boulevard to stop doing takeout and all agreed, the city reports.

Also, Mayor Brian Arrigo slowly drove along the beach with a bullhorn, yelling at people to keep their distance. The city reported 83 Covid-19 cases as of today, up from just 8 at the beginning of the week.

WBZ reports on a Covid-19 outbreak at Charlwell House in Norwood. WHDH reports Hebrew SeniorLife has been ordered to quarantine its entire Jack Satter House apartment building in Revere after seven residents were diagnosed, including one who died.

Clogged up sewer pipe in Revere

And that's what a large wadded up ball of flushed wipes looks like.

Officials in Revere are the latest to plead with residents to stop flushing wipes down the toilet, because they don't dissolve and instead just form giant, impenetrable wads that can lead to sewer backups. They posted this photo from one of the city's pump stations yesterday to show a potential sewage flood in the making.
