A federal judge today tossed the Saudi government's effort to wrest control of condos at Millennium Place, the Mandarin Oriental and One Dalton Place from the ex-anti-terrorism official it claims bought them with some of the $3.5 billion he allegedly sucked out of the royal treasury. Read more.

The Boston Licensing Board tomorrow considers granting licenses for another Guy Fieri restaurant on Tremont Street near Boylston Street and what would be Gordon Ramsay's first, but not last, restaurant less than a mile away on Boylston Street in the Back Bay. Read more.

A federal judge in Boston ruled today that the federal government can block filings in a legal dispute over ownership of condos in three of Boston's most expensive buildings because filings by both their current owners - a former Saudi anti-terrorism official and his two sons - and the Saudi government could reveal sensitive and possibly embarrassing details of our long-standing ties with Saudi security and anti-terrorism efforts. The Globe dishes that Gordon Ramsay will be opening a restaurant in the Mandarin Oriental space left vacant when Bar Boulud shut. Ramsay was quite complimentary about Boston and its chefs in a brief e-mail exchange, the Globe says.

The Department of Justice is asking a federal judge in Boston to delay any action in a suit by a company owned by the Saudi government to take control of eight Boston condos purchased by a Saudi who used to run one of his government's anti-terrorism efforts but who backed the wrong prince in a Riyadh power struggle.
