A man authorities say once headed up the Hendry Street Gang and who was finishing up a federal drug-distribution sentence at a halfway house in the Fenway got into a dispute with somebody outside the Dublin House in Uphams Corner on March 2 that ended with him firing numerous shots across Stoughton Street, a police detective told the Boston Licensing Board today. Boston Police report the BPD gang unit arrested a 15-year-old in Heath Street Gang territory at the Mildred Hailey Apartments yesterday on charges he shot somebody on the Mission Hill turf of the Annunciation Road gang on May 11. Read more.

A federal judge today unsealed an indictment charging 19 alleged members of the Dorchester-based Cameron Street gang with a variety of RICO violations dating to 2010 that include one murder, 33 attempted murders, 17 armed robberies, 19 unarmed robberies, including home invasions, one carjacking and selling crack, marijuana and guns. The Boston Police gang unit has arrested three men from Roxbury and Dorchester on charges they stole a headstone out of Oak Lawn Cemetery in Roslindale for a teen murdered in 2017. Read more.

A federal judge today sentenced Henri "Perverso" Salvador Gutierrez to life in prison for the murders of Luis Fernando Orellana Ruano, 18, at Memorial Stadium in East Boston in December, 2016 and Herson Rivas, 17, in a Lynn park two years later. Read more.

The federal judge who presided over the cases against MS-13 members swept up in raids in 2016 after four teenagers were murdered in East Boston ruled yesterday that a leader of the East Coast MS-13 did not get his sentence increased because of his ethnicity, but also ruled that he wants to hear more about whether the man's lawyer was "ineffective" for not appealing his 19 1/2-year sentence.
