Off-topic, but – I’m getting an annoying pop-up that covers the left 20% of my Chrome window, which I can’t close. Makes the website unreadable.
If you donate to the site, ads are eliminated!
I agree it's annoying. But I do realize the need for Uhub, like any business, to raise revenue. If it annoys me, I close the pop up.
What would be more annoying to me would be if Uhub required a subscription.
you can "close" the pop up by clicking a small "close" button in the upper right corner, but then more pop ups follow.
That sprung up this morning, unasked for by me, as one of my ad vendors is trying to find ways to make up revenue lost by the cratering of the online ad market that started roughly in mid-March.
I can certainly understand it, since my ad revenue has, indeed, dropped pretty dramatically, but I'll see if I can turn this particular ad unit off.
I can afford to do that right now because, so far I've been very fortunate - folks paying for subscriptions and making contributions have made up the difference. Thank you so, so much to each and every one of you! If you do have a subscription and are seeing that ad, please let me know (since the main benefit of a subscription is you shouldn't be seeing ads).
