Mary Ellen the roving UHub photographer, spotted this male Eastern bluebird - a member of the thrush family - at Millennium Park today.
The Millennium eagle has landed.
We don't see bluebirds that often. What a treat.
Is that why we're not known for our happiness in this city?
I usually see them in March.
If at all.
quite a few years back in a bush in Mattapan. It was dong that thing where they spread their wings out wide and I was astounded to see a bright yellow bird in my neighborhood. I had no idea it was a Bluebird.
