The Suffolk County District Attorney's office announced today it's seeking court orders to vacate some 108 drug convictions that involved evidence certified as illegal drugs by Annie Dookhan, a chemist at the state labs in Jamaica Plain convicted in 2013 of just making stuff up. Read more.

Richard Auffrey recounts his recent brunch at Tambo 22, a new Peruvian restaurant in Chelsea whose menu includes the tamburgeusa - basically a cheeseburger made with alpaca and short-rib meat.

It resembled the look of a beef burger but the taste was certainly different, with a more gamey and meaty element, similar in some respects to ground lamb.

Raughn Williams didn't like seeing the flashing blues in his rear view on Storrow Drive, so he sped away, rocketing across the Tobin Bridge and then down into Chelsea, where he crashed into two parked cars and got arrested and charged for the loaded gun he had in a pants leg, which might now mean up to ten years in federal prison, federal authorities say. The US Supreme Court this week rejected David "Cilindro" Lopez's appeal of his sentence for being a leader of a Chelsea MS-13 gang - and for trying really hard to kill a rival - which means he gets to stay behind bars until 2033. Read more.

The Massachusetts Appeals Court ruled today that Maurice Morrison got a fair trial that led to his second-degree murder conviction for shooting both a Chelsea cab driver and the driver's front-seat passenger in the back of the head in 2013, possibly because the passenger was blackmailing him. The Chelsea Record reports King Arthur's Lounge was torn down last week.

It is being viewed in most every circle as a very positive end to a past most in Chelsea did not want to be associated with, including the shady strip club, many criminal assaults and even a murder.
