Two-alarm fire injures resident, firefighter in Mattapan

The Boston Fire Department  reports firefighters responded to 59 Goodale Rd. in Mattapan around 3:30 a.m. for what turned into a two-alarm fire.

Firefighters arrived to heavy fire on the building's first- and second-floor porches, the department says.

One resident and one firefighter were taken to the hospital.

The department says twelve people and two dogs were displaced.
