Angell Memorial Medical Center in Jamaica Plain is responding to a post in a a local Facebook group that somebody's dog died of Covid-19 after testing positive for it the animal hospital:
While there have been rare cases reported of animals contracting COVID-19, Angell has not submitted any samples to any reference lab to test for COVID-19 in any animal at this time. To the knowledge of our COVID-19 task force (to whom all such cases would be reported) there have not been any animals that have died at Angell where a veterinarian suspected the pet died from COVID-19.
Angell remains open for pet care and adoption, but with new precautions.
