BU Today reports 12 students were suspended for the rest of the fall semester and five were given lesser punishments because of their attendance at one of three parties that featured close-contact bare facedness as well as the more traditional "underage drinking, physical assault, and disturbing the peace."
The three parties all took place off campus in Allston the afternoon and night of Oct. 3. None of the students have shown signs of infection, but the university said students knew the school would brook no nonsense this year.
The suspended students won't get their tuition refunded and will be on "deferred suspension" next semester - any rules infraction will mean immediate suspension again. The other five students were placed on deferred suspension for this semester.
