Not a good look for the Athens of America.

At point should we ask Athens to be referred to as the Boston of Europe?

Last I heard student rioting was pretty much sacred there after such toppled a fascist regime in 1973 and happens on the regular.

The only actual communist academics I have ever met came from Athens, Greece.

Wouldn't be boarded up if it hadn't been looted a few months ago.

Or are you trying to pretend that the omnipresent They are aiding down-town businesses while ignoring those in low-income areas? This is why we lose elections.

They probably will have to since those jackasses have been targeting black-owned businesses in minority neighborhoods.

Meanwhile, even the NY Post knows that well-organized opportunists were behind much of the looting during protests of police violence on the east coast: https://nypost.com/2020/06/02/how-nyc-looters-pull-off-a-well-organized-...

some Proud Boy types would even know how to get to Blue Hill Ave from Tyngsborough.

I highly doubt any Proud Boy types would have the stones to venture down Blue Hill Ave.

These groups did the same thing in MA (scouted out malls). Many of the plates were run at both locations (NY and in MA). They were not proud boy types. I’m not saying they voted left either though, but were known gang members in rental cars for the most part.

I mean DTX is probably a ghost town today because it is freezing. Was working next to that building for much of the summer and it was always pretty quiet over there.

The fortifications seem a bit of an over reaction. Hopefully I am not wrong.

I'm sitting in my office in Downtown Crossing right now. No, there are not as many people around here as pre-pandemic, but there are a good number of people. It has picked up steadily since the spring.

I’m saving my rocks for Charlie “half pregnant” Baker’s house, thank you very much.
