Worcester man arrested for murder at Newmarket Square homeless shelter

Boston Police report arresting Jeremy Correa on charges he fatally stabbed Edward Sanchez, 50, at the Southampton Street Shelter yesterday.

Correa, 31, of Worcester, was arrested around 9:40 this morning, police say.

In 2010, Correa was placed on probation for three years after pleading guilty to armed robbery and illegal possession of a firearm.

Innocent, etc.

Mandates a mandatory five year sentence for the possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. There is no justice in the halls of justice when the judge sentences him to three years probation. What good are strict gun laws if judges are allowed to make a mockery of them?

And sometimes there are bad laws, or mitigating circumstances, blah blah blah. I don't know the specifics, but I'll disagree any day with the generalities of your comment.
