Turlach MacDonagh spotted this flier in Lower Allston today.
How does a tortoise get out of an apartment building...
Sounds fishy to me, like it was a dumped pet that shouldn't go back to owner.
If that was true, then why was the tortoise wondering Allston looking for its owner to return to?
The tortoise wouldn't want to return to someone who didn't want him or her.
I let my little buddy walk in grass with a close eye but these guys are fast and they dig quicka not hard to lose one. they love a stroll outside:)
Its one of our native turtle species.
‘Why did you call him Tortoise, if he wasn’t one?’ Alice asked.
‘We called him Tortoise because he taught us,’ said the Mock Turtle angrily: ‘really you are very dull!’
‘You ought to be ashamed of yourself for asking such a simple question,’ added the Gryphon;
So we can see if it is a tortoise
well.. he sure didn't get very far.... *ba da bum*
I'm here all night.. try the fish.
It was caught on a security camera.
Film at 11.
I've been watching it for two hours now.
He's almost out.
Not sure if it was the original tweet or the post on the site here, but the photo of my flier made it to the owner and the tortoise is back at home! It escaped from a backyard enclosure, and I didn't post a pic as I was worried about getting calls looking to steal a free tortoise, which I did get unfortunately. But the tort is back at home, so thanks!
