Long awaited Roslindale restaurant finally open

753 South, where Derna's used to be, had its "soft" opening this week, according to the folks at Keep Roslindale Quirky. Look for small plates - served on a patio in nicer weather - as well as beer and wine since the place, which has the same owners as Delfino across the street, was one of the first places in Boston to get one of the city's then new neighborhood beer-and-wine licenses, back in 2014.

Reason for delay in opening

By on

The delay was a combo of permitting issues with the city and family issues. There were serval deaths in the family in the last few months. I was there on Monday and the burger I had was fantastic. Stephen is a really nice guy. The patio is going to be a nice plus to this place.

Wow

This is the most shocking news I have ever heard. I considered it to be impossible that this place would ever actually open. Thank you for giving me hope that anything really is possible.

Both Cricket Wireless and Sam's Food Market are open. Haven't been to the former, but I did grab some groceries from the latter.

I liked Derna's, though I'm not a breakfast guy. I'll have to check this place out.
