With a very special appearance by Shelby Scott.
What did I just watch.
Why is some of these people in this like Beverly Scott, she wasn't qualified to be MBTA GM and she doesn't know her ass from her elbow!
to be funny.
Sorry if humor escapes you. sheesh.
PS - Bev has more experience running a transit agency than most of her predecessors in recent memory. I can't say that for many prior to her. Give it a rest, she's leaving anyways.
"unqualified" is anon shorthand for "black" "woman"
Your watching eight yes-men too afraid to their boss not to quit his day job.
Blessed are those who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.
I'm sure many of the younglings will love it, but he, and many other 'leaders' around here (looking at you Chaz B), still showed they're paper tigers.
Boston Yeti 2018!
This winter has driven everybody crazy.
LAST? Too early! Don't put the jinx on us!
Um, did some intern do this for fun for free or did we get a bill for it?
And I'm sure very few if any of your precious hard-earned taxpayer dollars were destroyed to bring you this video.
They would have had Jim Marzilli filmed on a park bench in Lowell, claiming to be Mahhhtty Walsh, while accosting parka-clad women...
I've forgotten everything except my grudges.
...and replace the sign-language translator with the guy from the Mandela memorial who looked like he was doing the macarena. If he's not available, save a spot for him with a traffic cone.
Come on people, its funny. Some of you here are taking things way too seriously.
Bev Scott was less animated this time..
Too bad.. she could have karate chopped you!
(sorry this pic of her makes me chuckle)
Bev, this is a one time only offer. Please feel free to expense your way out of town, first class, laundry and dry cleaning included, and charge it all to us as usual. As long as it's one way only, I'll gladly contribute to picking up the tab this one last time.
It may not have been great, but it was still one of the better parts of this years breakfast...
Good grief, I miss that woman! A true pioneer in the field of journalism and a good sport to boot.
I know people grew up with her and have warm, fuzzy feelings, but she was the beginning of all this fake journalism and infotainment where they plop a newscaster out in the battering wind and snow (can anyone say "Plum island"?) and it becomes a "show". Sometimes when a storm has been predicted and there really isn't one, they plop the broadcaster out there anyway and the broadcaster jumps around blustering as if there were a storm. In the absence of war create one, as the saying goes. Shelby Scott was a pioneer in all that nonsense.
You don't have a clue do you.
You are aware she was one of the first woman meteorologist in Boston TV?
You are aware she was apart of Boston's first all-women news teams, let alone an anchor?
She paved the way for all the ditzy weather people you see on TV now. When she wasn't one herself. Without her, it'd still be a men's world.
And if you read about the Blizzard of '78, you'll realize the viewers REQUESTED her to be out there after they pulled her initially, and got viewer complaints why she wasn't out there.
I wouldn't exactly blame her at all. Yell at news directors for doing this, she was just doing her job and doing as she was told. Fake journalism was around long before her..
I think Marty is going to end up a 1 term Mayor. I hope Flaherty runs again!
Was way ahead of the curve when it comes to snow removal and snow melters. If he was Mayor the parade would have traveled the whole original route. But a month after the first snow we still have huge piles of snow and business areas such as Boylston and the Seaport you never would have know it snowed this winter.
Damn, the sign language interpreter was amazing. I was watching her the entire time. She needs a techno beat behind her.
